Anushka Sharma was seen accompanying husband Virat Kohli as he is headed to England for the World Test Championship along with team. On Wednesday, Anushka was spotted at the Mumbai airport. As the paparazzi tried to click photos, Anushka covered the baby’s face.
As the photos went viral, several social media users criticised the paparazzi for not respecting the child’s privacy and not respecting the parents’ stand. Some users pointed out that child must be feeling suffocated, while others slammed the photographers for using flash lights on little children.
“These high-intensity lights would be harmful for the infants and kids, be humans and treat others as humans for god's sake they are not objects." "Do you guys ever respect their privacy,” a user commented.
Kohli had announced the arrival of their first child on January 11. The couple had written a note to the paparazzi fraternity in Mumbai, urging them to respect their daughter’s privacy. Expressing their gratitude, Sharma and Kohli said they are thankful for all the love being showered on them. "As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support," the couple said in the statement. They further assured paparazzi they will share the "content" at the right time.
"While, we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same," they said.
Recently, during an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, Kolhi said they have decided not to put out their daughter’s pictures till she has an understanding of social media and can make her own choice.
