The first week of September brings a few highly-anticipated releases on streaming platforms. While Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is set for a theatrical release on September 3, Black Widow will release on Disney plus Hotstar the same day.

Black Widow: Disney plus Hotstar
Release date: September 3
One of Marvel’s much awaited films, the Scarlett Johansson-starrer had its international release earlier. The film will release in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The movie ran into a controversy recently after Johansson sued Disney Studios, parent company of Marvel Studios, alleging that her contract was breached when Black Widow was released on their streaming platform Disney Plus. Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow also features actors Rachel Weisz, David Harbour and Florence Pugh.
Cinderella: Amazon Prime Video
Release date: September 3
Directed by Kay Cannon, this is a modern-day retelling of Cinderella, played by Camila Cabello. Cabello's Cinderella aspires to be a well-known designer and dreams of opening her own boutique. The movie also features actors like Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan.
Money Heist: Netflix
Release date: September 5
The highly anticipated volume 1 of Season 5 is expected to bring in some unexpected twists and drama. It will release in two parts, with the first part arriving on September 3 and the second part premiering on Netflix on December 3. The official synopsis of the final chapter reads, “The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. Helmet: Zee5
Release date: September 5
A quirky comedy directed by Satram Ramani, Helmet features Pranutan Bahl, Aparshakti Khurana, Anurita Jha, Ashish Verma among others. The movie is about condom use and explores the stigma around buying condoms. The film has been produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Dino Morea.
