Two years after she announced her decision to bid goodbye to Bollywood citing religious reasons, and stopped posting her pictures on social media platforms, former actor Zaira Wasim posted a picture of herself on Instagram.
Clad in a burkha, Wasim is seen in the picture with her back turned towards the camera. Her face is not visible in the picture.
"The Warm October Sun," she captioned the picture.
Wasim, who has only been posting only quotes and inspirational messages after removing all her photos from her social media handles after her decision quit the limelight, had asked her fan pages to remove her photos as well.
In 2019, announcing her decision to quit Bollywood, she had written, "This field indeed brought a lot of love, support, and applause my way, but what it also did was to lead me to a path of ignorance, as I silently and unconsciously transitioned out of imaan. While I continued to work in an environment that consistently interfered with my imaan, my relationship with my religion was threatened."
