Fans of former adult actor Mia Khalifa were a worried lot on Saturday after her official Facebook page was converted into a memorial. Mia Khalifa has 4.2 million followers on the verified page, which appeared to be scrubbed of pictures and other content.
There was a Facebook message stating “Remembering Mia Khalifa: We hope that people who love Mia Khalifa will find comfort in visiting their profile to remember and celebrate their life.”

The change in the page profile had her fans concerned about her well-being.
However, late on Saturday (US time), Mia Khalifa’s Twitter handle shared a meme of a scene from the popular 1975 movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Though she did not comment on the post, the meme's words, “I'm not dead yet! I feel fine”, appeared to indicate she was aware of the rumours. It is yet unclear on what happened to the Facebook page: Whether it was hacked or changed inadvertently or as a prank.
This is not the first time rumours of Mia Khalifa's death have circulated. In June 2020, rumours circulated she had committed suicide. She then tweeted, “Please don’t think I’m not keeping track of each of my friends that haven’t sent condolence flowers yet…”
Though she has left the porn industry, Khalifa has remained in the news as a sports commentator and for her social media posts. In February last year, she tweeted in support of the farmers' agitation in India, enraging rightwing social media users.
