Veteran Malayalam actor Sreenivasan has been put on a ventilator following bypass surgery. The actor was admitted to Apollo Adlux hospital in Angamaly last week after he had complained of chest pain. In an angiogram, it was shown that the 66-year-old from triple vessel disease. He was put on life support for three days after the bypass surgery. He was shifted out of the ventilator but was put back on it as he had an infection. Doctors say he is responding well to medicines.
The actor has two sons- Dhyan and Vineeth, both actors. Sreenivasan was last seen in the movie, Aravindante Athidikal, which also starred his son, Vineeth.
Sreenivasan is known for movies like Sandesham, Veendum Chila Veetukaryangal and Nadodikattu.
