Television actor Vaishali Takkar, popular for 'Sasural Simar Ka' and 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and several other shows, was found dead in her house in Indore in what is said to be a case of suicide. She was 26.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Indore, M. Rahman said a suicide note was recovered from the house in which Vaishali Takkar suggested that she was stressed as she was allegedly being harassed by her former boyfriend.
She died by hanging, say media reports.
Vaishali Takkar was staying with her father and brother, who said they had no idea she would resort to such an extreme step.
Vaishali Takkar made her television debut with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which was aired on Star Plus. She was also seen in other shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Sasural Simar Ka on Colors TV, Super Sisters in SAB TV, and Rakshabandhan in in Dangal TV, becoming a household name.
Last year, she took to social media to inform she was engaged to a dental surgeon from Kenya. However, a month later, she informed that the marriage was called off.
