Says majority of people in India are Hindu, and the number is only increasing

Anup-Jalota

Popular devotional singer Anup Jalota pitched for making India a Hindu Rashtra.

In a recent video that has gone viral, the singer is heard saying that there is no nation for Hindus in the world and hence, India should be made Hindu Rashtra.

He claimed that Nepal is no longer a Hindu nation.

Jalota said the majority of people in India are Hindu, and the number is only increasing.

The singer said after the Partition, Pakistan was declared a Muslim nation because most of its citizens were Muslims. "India should be declared a Hindu Rashtra then. It didn't happen then (during Partition), but it should happen now," he said.

The singer said declaring India as a Hindu nation will not make any difference to anyone, and claimed that the announcement can be made like how the changes were made in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the revocation of Article 370 brought peace in Kashmir and the number of terrorist incidents got reduced.
