The much-loved children's fantasy series Harry Potter is on track to become a television series. Author J K Rowling is set to take on the reins as producer. The series, which will be produced by Warner Bros. Television, will have one book of the series to be adapted into one season.

Warner Bros. Has already adapted each book into a feature film, that ended with The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Over the years, the series had a Fantastic Beasts spin-off series, which follows the tales of Dumbledore and his nemesis Grindelwald. Most recently, there's been a video game titled Hogwarts Legacy.

J K Rowling, in recent times, has been accused of expressing transphobic views, which led to several of the members of the Harry Potter movies distancing themselves from her. There's also some buzz around Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a Broadway play being adapted into a film.

The largely popular children's series, is one of the most successful ones, with it having an official website, an app, merchandise, limited edition books and more. Besides this, there are Potter-themed rides in theme parks and a Harry Potter-world tour at the Warner Bros. Studio in London.
