Adipurush, Om Raut's cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, finally hit the big screens on Friday. One of the most eagerly anticipated releases this year, the multilingual film was made on a budget of Rs 500 crore.
As industry experts predict a bumper opening for the Prabhas-starrer, a video of a monkey watching Adipurush on the big screen in a theatre has now gone viral. In the trending video, a money is seen on one of the walls, looking towards the screen as the film plays out. Meanwhile, the moviegoers are heard chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' in unison.

The team had announced that one seat in every theatre will be kept reserved for Lord Hanuman. Director Raut said that it is believed “Hanuman is present every time the Ramayana is read or showcased.” In the film, actor Devdutt Nage will be seen as Lord Hanuman. The film features Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti as Janaki and Saif as the antagonist Lankesh.
Meanwhile, this also triggered rumours that the seats close to the seat reserved for Hanuman will be overpriced. The film's production company T-series refuted the runours, and clarified that those tickets will be charged at the same rate as the others.
