Vijay's first look from Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo' is here

The film also features Trisha and Sanjay Dutt

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj on Thursday unveiled the much-awaited first look poster of Vijay-starrer Leo on the occasion of the actor's 49th birthday. Leo marks the second collaboration between Lokesh and Vijay after their successful outing, Master.

The first look poster showcases Vijay holding a bloodied sledgehammer, with a wolf lurking behind him. The caption on the poster says, "In the realm of wild rivers, tranquil waters either transform into divine deities or feared demons."

Leo boasts of a star-studded cast, including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy, and Mysskin. The movie features cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing by Philomin Raj, and dance choreography by Dinesh.

After blockbuster hits Kaithi and Vikram, fans expect Leo to be the third instalment in the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for Leo, making it his third collaboration with both Lokesh and Vijay. While the first single “Naa Ready” will be released today, a small portion of it was released on Tuesday, and has crossed over 700,000 likes on YouTube. The song is a typical Tamil 'kuthu' track, perfect for dance floors and celebrations.

Reports suggest that Leo blends gangster action elements with a father-son relationship. Trisha, who has frequently starred opposite Vijay, plays the female lead in the film, marking their fifth collaboration, notably, after a gap of 15 years. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt essays Vijay's father, adding further excitement to the project.

Leo is set to have a multi-language release, not limited to major Indian languages, but also foreign languages during its OTT premiere. According to reports, the film is expected to be released in German and various other foreign languages through Netflix, which has secured the streaming rights.

With its pan-Indian appeal, Leo is gearing up to hit theatres on October 19.
