Kannada actor Suraj Kumar's right leg was amputated after he met with an accident on Saturday. Suraj, popularly known as Dhruvan, is the son of film producer S.A Srinivas, and was gearing up for his debut movie.
The 24-year-old actor was riding a two-wheeler which collided with a tipper lorry in Gundlupet. He was rushed to a private hospital, but doctors had to amputate his leg below the knee.
“Suraj was returning from Ooty on his bike. His right leg came under the wheels of a tipper lorry and was totally crushed. He was shifted to a private hospital in Mysuru where he is presently being treated,” a police officer told Indian Express.
As per reports, the actor was working on a film named Ratham, alongside Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier. He has served as an assistant director in movies like Tharak and Airavatha.
