Filmmaker Atlee is the man of the moment after delivering Shah Rukh Khan-starrer blockbuster Jawan. As fans continue to shower love on the film that is breaking box office records, Atlee said that a lot of the credit goes to Shah Rukh for his support and constant feedback for the script.
“We together came up with Jawan. After listening to the script, he came up with suggestions on how large the film can be, how the action can be,” the filmmaker told Times of India. Everyone has contributed, but the backbone and solution giver is Shah Rukh sir,” he added.
On plans for Jawan 2
The filmmaker said he is yet to give it a thought as he is being asked frequently about the possibility of a sequel. “Let me come out of Jawan first,” he said. Atlee, a self-confessed Shah Rukh fan told the Indian Express that he would be “writing a lot of love letters to Shah Rukh Khan”. “I don't know if it is going to be Jawan or something else,” he said.
On Bollywood plans
When asked about him being in talks with Salman Khan, Atlee told ETimes he is waiting for a good script and idea. Speaking to the Indian Express, he added that he does not have zonal plans, but wants to make “Indian cinema.” I want to take Indian cinema to a global level.
Oscars and Golden Globes
