'Thalapathy' Vijay's upcoming action flick, Leo, received a U/A certificate from the censor board.

Thirteen minor changes have been suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), including removing a few seconds of action sequences with blood and gore, and a few expletives. The movie has a run-time of 164.27 minutes.

Leo is all set for a grand theatrical release on October 19. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo has Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja playing the antagonists. The trailer of the movie, released a few days ago, suggested that Leo is a complete action drama with plenty of bloody sequences.

In the trailer, Vijay was heard uttering a cuss word. There was much criticism over this.

At least 43 seconds of the movie has been cut as per the changes suggested by CBFC. Around 18 seconds of the film has been replaced with different frames or muted as advised by the censor board. A few expletives have either been removed or muted and a few action sequences involving flying teeth, a cut ear, blood splash and an injured face have been replaced or removed.

Like in Kaithi and Vikram, the director has used vintage Tamil songs in Leo as well. The CBFC has, however, not mentioned anything on this or revealed the storyline of the film. “In the world of untamed rivers that are trying to drown Parthiban, whether he remains as a divine god or a dreaded demon is the rest of the story," says the CBFC website on Leo.
