Madhura Naik, an Indian TV actor says her cousin sister and her husband were killed by the Hamas in front of their children. As the war enters day five, 3,000 people have lost their lives on both sides. The actor in a sombre video said how, on October 7, two members of her family were killed. Madhura has appeared in hit television series, Naagin.
Naik, a Jew of Indian origin said, “The grief and emotions my family face cannot be expressed in words. As of today, Israel is in pain and the streets are burning in flames in the wrath of Hamas."
"Women, children, the old and the weak are being targeted," she said. She also talked about pro-Arab-Palestine propaganda that has been doing the rounds on the internet since the war began and said she was trolled online for sharing her deceased cousin's picture.
"It shows how deep the pro-Palestinian agenda runs. I was shamed, humiliated and targeted for being Jewish," she said. Several children have lost their lives and several orphaned due to relentless rocket attacks and counter air strikes.
The actor who said there are only around 3,000 Jews in India, added, “The grief and emotions my family face cannot be expressed in words. Israel is in pain and the streets are burning in flames in the wrath of Hamas."
She also said that she has both Arab and Israeli friends and that she doesn't support violence of any kind. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel's military campaign is only the start of a sustained war. According to the UN, more than 187,500 people have been displaced inside Gaza.
