Akshay Kumar's film helmed by Mohit Suri to go on floors in 2024

High and mighty: Akshay Kumar’s film, Bell Bottom, was recently screened at what is touted to be the world’s highest mobile theatre in Ladakh. “Makes my heart swell with pride,” tweeted Kumar. “At an altitude of 11,562 ft, the theatre can operate at -28 degrees C. What an amazing feat.” The screening was held for the Indian Army and CISF personnel. Bell Bottom, an action thriller about a covert operation helmed by a RAW agent played by Kumar, released on August 19. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and Vaani Kapoor | PTI

Director Mohit Suri has confirmed on Instagram that his next project will be with Akshay Kumar. Produced by Rohit Shetty, the film will be an action thriller, where Kumar will play a 'psycho character'-- it will be “a role like never before,” Suri wrote on Instagram. 

Shooting for the film will begin in 2024 and it will be a start-to-finish 40-day schedule. The movie titled Psycho will be the first film under Rohit Shetty's banner, which won't be directed by him. According to a source, everyone is excited to take the film on floors. Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Khel Khel Mein with Mudassar Aziz. He recently shot for his cameo in Rohit Shetty's Singham starring Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn.

On the work front, 2024 looks like a busy year for Akshay Kumar. He's set to star in movies like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sky Force, Welcome 3, and a remake of Soorarai Pottru. Soorarai Pottru, a Tamil film, starred Suriya.
