Director Davis Guggenheim's Still: A Michael J Fox Movie won big at the Critics Choice Documentary Awards. The movie won five awards in total, including best biographical documentary, best direction for Davis Guggenheim and best editing for Michael Harte.
The best political documentary and best first documentary feature was won by 20 Days in Mariupol. The awards show was hosted by Wyatt Cenac. Ross McElwee with its Pennebaker Award, formerly known as the Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award, Winners were announced in 18 categories in TV and digital platforms. The event took place at New York’s Edison Ballroom.
The ceremony was live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook and X. Tim Cragg won best cinematography for The Deepest Breath. Being Mary Tyler Moore directed by James Adolphus won best archival documentary and JFK: One Day in America won best historical documentary.
