Tiger 3, the third instalment of the Tiger franchise has collected  Rs 44.5 crore on day one in India. This surpasses the day one collection for Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, which in 2019, collected ₹42.3 crore. The spy thriller helmed by Maneesh Sharma, released on Diwali, November 12.

The movie is a part of the YRF spy-verse, which includes movies Pathaan and War. The movie also stars Emraan Hashmi and Revathy. The movie's first-day earnings have also surpassed Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, also starring Salman Khan, which was released on Diwali in 2015-- it grossed Rs40.35 crore. Tiger 3 features cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

In bookings, about three days before its release, Tiger 3 collected Rs 8 crore. The numbers are, however, less in comparison to Shah Rukh Khan's films Jawan and Pathaan at Rs 75 crore and Rs 57 crore respectively. Katrina Kaif's next release is Merry Christmas, which will be released on December 22. The movie directed by Sriram Raghavan also stars Vijay Sethupathi.

According to Sacnilk early trade estimates, the movie witnessed a 41.32 per cent occupancy in Hindi screenings.
