Kal Ho Naa Ho, the drama-comedy film turned 20 on Tuesday. Actor Preity Zinta took to Instagram to pen an emotional note on the film. She wrote, “Kal Ho Naa Ho was the saddest happy film I did. Nothing can replace those memories & I will forever be grateful to Yash Uncle for making this incredible film.”
Director Karan Johar too, wrote an emotional note, marking 20 years of the film. He wrote, “This film has been such an emotional journey for me and perhaps for all of us if I have gathered over the many years. To bring such a stellar star cast together with a story that has a beating heart…it’s all kudos to the entire cast and team behind the camera for making Kal Ho Naa Ho still beat strong and within everyone’s hearts.”
Preity Zinta even shared a reel from the movie on Instagram. The movie revolves around Aman and Naina. Naina, a sceptical woman who belongs to a dysfunctional family, meets Aman (Shah Rukh Khan), a happy-go-lucky man, who is fighting a fatal heart condition.
The movie starred Jaya Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Reema Lagoo. The movie was directed by Nikhil Advani. Reportedly, Karan Johar's first choice for Naina was Kareena Kapoor. Preity Zinta was last seen in the movie Happy Ending in 2014, which also starred Saif Ali Khan. Zinta will next reprise her role as Nisha in Krissh 4. Karan Johar, last directed Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani. He is set to produce Kill, which stars Lakshya and Raghav Juyal.
