Makers of Malaikottai Vaaliban released another look from the highly anticipated Mohanlal film. Actor Mohanlal shared the look on social media platform X too. “Merry Christmas from Team #MalaikottaiVaaliban!” the superstar wrote. A teaser of the film was released two weeks ago and clocked 10 million views.
The movie also stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Andrea Ravera and Hariprashanth. The cinematography of the film is done by Madhu Neelakandan, who has worked on movies like Merry Christmas starring Katrina Kaif and Udaaharnam Sujata starring Manju Warrier. The movie is set to release on January 25.
In the teaser of the film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Mohanlal looks like a powerful saint or a guru. The new look exudes the movie's grand scale. Pellissery's recent movies include Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam starring Mammootty and Churuli starring Chemban Vinod.
The teaser hints at a rich narrative and it definitely looks like a shift from Pellissery's usual style of narration-- the director is known to use darker motifs. The movie was shot in locations like Rajasthan, Pondhicherry and Chennai. Mohanlal was last seen in Neru, a courtroom drama, co-starring Priyamani. Mohanlal will be seen in Barroz, directed by him.
