Kathanar, Malaikottai Vaaliban: Malayalam movies to look forward to in 2024

From Aadujeevitham to Bramayugam, here are the most-awaited releases

This year has been a good one for Malayalam cinema with movies like Kaathal, Kannur Squad and 2018. 2024 holds an equally interesting line-up for fans. From Aadujeevitham to Bramayugam, here are the most-awaited releases.

Aaudujeevitham: Starring Prithviraj, this movie is an adaptation of the Benyamin novel of the same name. The movie will be released in theatres on April 10.

Abraham Ozler: This investigative thriller starring Jayaram is directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and written by Randheer Krishnan. The movie will be released on January 11.

 

Malaikottai Vaaliban: This is a period fantasy film starring Mohanlal. Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, this movie will release on January 25.

Barroz: This movie is an adaptation of the book, Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure by Jijo Punnoose. The movie, which marks Mohanlal's directional debut, will be released on March 28. 

Kathanar: In this film, Jayasuriya plays the famed wild sorcerer. This thriller is directed by Rojin Thomas and written by R. Ramanand. The movie will be released mid 2024.

Bramayugam: This thriller horror starring Mammootty, also stars Arjun Ashokan. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, this movie will be released in 2024 too. 

L2: Empuraan: This is part two of the movie Lucifer, which was directed by Prithviraj. The movie stars Mohanlal and Sachin Khedekar and will release next year.

Vrushabha: For this pan-India film, Mohanlal will be collaborating with director-producer Ekta Kapoor. This action film will initially be shot in Malayalam and Telegu.

Bazooka: This Mammootty film will be directed by Deeno Dennis. Director Gautam Menon also stars in the movie. 

Aavesham: Starring Fahadh Faasil and Chemban Vinod, this action flick is directed by Jithu Mahadevan.

Ajayante Randam Moshanam: This film is a fantasy adventure starring Tovino Thomas and Krithi Shetty. This would be the directorial debut of Jithin Lal.
