The first look of ‘Michael’, the biopic based on the life of the ‘King of Pop’ is out, showing Jaafar Jackson doing the iconic toe-stand pose of the legendary singer wearing a black fedora.

‘Michael’, the biopic based on singer Michael Jackson’s life is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan. The film is said to cover all aspects of Michael Jackson’s life and the icon’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson is reprising the legendary singer on screen.

Sharing the image of him doing the iconic toe-stand pose, Jaafar said, “The journey starts Monday.” Set to be released on April 18, 2025, Michael is said to show the human side of Jackson. A statement from the production house said, “Michael will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale — from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”

Meanwhile, sharing the image, Michael Jackson’s official X account tweeted, “He’s ready!”
