Shah Rukh Khan's movie Dunki, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kocchar and Vicky Kaushal, is now streaming on Netflix. The star, on February 14, Valentine's Day, had said that he'd drop a huge surprise for his fans. And the surprise is, the film Dunki releasing on an OTT platform.
Netflix shared a fun video of King Khan announcing the drop. “Dil ke liye visa nahi lagta. Aa rahe hai aapke ghar, Dunki maarke. Dunki, now streaming on Netflix” In the clip, Khan is seen walking into an office for a visa interview-- he wants a visa for 190 countries. But, eventually gets rejected. In the clip, he even gives a shout-out to BTS, the South Korean boy band.
The film, a touching tale of four friends wanting to reach London, collected close to Rs 500 crore. Khan, in 2023, delivered three hits after a hiatus of four years. His movies Pathaan and Jawan collected Rs 1000 crore each worldwide.
According to Sacnilk, the movie became the 6th highest-grossing movie of 2023. It overtook OMG 2 ( ₹221.75 crore), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar ( ₹223 crore), The Kerala Story ( ₹302 crore), Adipurush ( ₹350 crore) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani ( ₹355.61 crore). The movie, which also stars Boman Irani, is the first collaboration between director Raj Kumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan.
