Actor Trisha took to social media platform X to express her disgust at vulgar remarks made by AIADMK politician AV Raju. She wrote, “It's disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.”
Raju said that Trisha allegedly was paid Rs 25 lakhs by former CM Edapaddi Palaniswami for having physical relations with the actor. Raju went on to say all actresses are the same. Raju's comments went viral and have been doing the rounds on social media ever since. Several fans, over social media, urged the actress to take action. Raju went on
Actor Vishal spoke out against Raju. He took to X and wrote, “I just heard that a stupid idiot from a political party spoke very ill and disgustingly about someone from our film fraternity. I will not mention your name nor the name of the person you targeted because I know you did it for publicity. I definitely will not mention names because we are not just good friends but also mutual co-artistes in the film fraternity. I wish and hope that the women in your house welcome you back home after what you have done, if they even have a conscience, even if you don't have one.”
Soon after Trisha posted her comment, the politician apologised. He said the media misinterpreted his comments, “I said about a woman who looks like actress Trisha and not actress Trisha. I apologise to everyone in the film industry including Trisha," he clarified.
