Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, who played Babita Iyer and Tipendra Jethalal Gada aka Tapu, respectively, on the popular television show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma' (TMKOC) reportedly got engaged on Wednesday. Raj Anadkat and Munmun Dutta exchanged rings in the presence of their families at a private ceremony in Gujarat's Vadodara, multiple media reports said.
The duo had earlier slammed multiple media reports that claimed them to be in a relationship. However, everyone on TMKOC's set was aware that Raj and Munmun were dating, the reports said. The private ceremony happened in Vadodara as both families accepted their relationship, the reports said.

Today, I am ashamed of calling myself a daughter of India,” Hindustan Times quoted Munmun Dutta, 36, as stating on Instagram after internet trolls talked about the co-stars becoming a couple.
Neither Dutta nor Anadkat has officially confirmed the news of their engagement yet. Hindi sitcom 'TMKOC' is being broadcast on SAB TV since 28 July 2008 and is rated among the most watched television programmes in the country. 27-year-old Anadkat had reportedly announced his exit from the series in December 2022. He played the role of Nishant Shethia in Sony Entertainment Television's 'Ek Rishta Sazhedari Ka' ahead of joining 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma'
