Popular Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to hospital in Mumbai on Friday.
According to media reports, Amitabh Bachchan underwent angioplasty on his leg at Kokilaben Hospital in the city.
An Indian Express report said doctors at the hospital confirmed that the 81-year-old actor underwent the procedure on Friday morning.
"He was admitted to the hospital on Friday morning. The angioplasty was done and now he is back home and recovering," ETimes quoted sources as saying.
Neither the actor nor the hospital have come out with a statement in this regard.
A few hours ago, the actor posted a tweet that just read: " in gratitude ever." Responding to the tweet, many of his followers wished him speedy recovery.
