Taapsee Pannu opens up about her wedding to Mathias Boe

Pannu did not post any images of the ceremony

Actor Taapsee Pannu and long-time boyfriend Mathias Boe tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur on March 23. Pannu, known for films like Pink and Haseen Dilruba, did not post any images of the ceremony.

Despite this, pictures and clips from the ceremony have done rounds on social media. In an interview, Pannu said, "I just am not very sure if I want to let my personal life and the people involved in it, go through the kind of scrutiny that happens when a public figure gets married. It’s me who has signed up for this, not my partner, not the people who were involved in the wedding. I am not sure about how I feel about it being out there, that’s why I’ve kept it to myself,” Pinkvilla reported.

"The people who are genuinely close to me were a part of the celebration and always knew about my relationship and my intentions about when and how I want to get married,” she added.

Boe and Pannu started dating in 2013 after they met at the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Badminton League. Boe is a former badminton player. He is a silver medallist in the 2012 London Olympics and 2013 World Championships. During his career, Boe has partnered with players like Michael Jensen, Thomas Hovgaard, and Michael Lamp. 43-year-old Boe announced his retirement from the international circuit in 2020.

Pannu said that she didn't want to make her nuptials a public affair, as she would worry about “how it is perceived, rather than really enjoying the way I would want to do it.”
