The Maharashtra Cyber cell has reportedly issued summons to actor Tamannaah Bhatia for allegedly promoting viewing of Indian Premier League matches on Fairplay betting mobile application. Fairplay is a subsidiary of Mahadev online gaming application.
The actor has been asked to appear before the probe agency on April 29, ANI reported. Viacom, the official broadcaster of IPL matches complained with the cyber cell that the illegal streaming caused them severe losses.
Reportedly, actor Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in connection with the case earlier this week. However, the actor has requested the actor for another date owing to his busy film schedule.
