Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala is all set to bankroll a biopic on superstar Rajinikanth.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Nadiadwala signed a contract with the South Indian superstar for his biopic rights. The movie is expected to trace the actor's journey from the days he was a bus conductor, to his struggling days in Kollywood and his eventual superstardom.
Nadiadwala, who is reportedly a huge fan of Rajinikanth, has been working with the actor and his family to ensure the authenticity of the biopic.
“Very few know that Sajid Nadiadwala is a big fan of not just Rajinikanth the actor, but also Rajinikanth the person. He believes that Rajinikanth’s story deserves to be seen by the world – from a bus conductor to a superstar. Sajid is personally looking into the script and working towards getting the film to the spectacle,” Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying.
The source called the upcoming biopic "greatest rags to riches story."
“The idea is to make a film that stands the test of time. It’s the greatest rags to riches story, and will focus more on Rajinikanth the human,” the entertainment portal quoted the source as saying.
“It’s a true honour to collaborate with the legendary Rajinikanth Sir! Anticipation mounts as we prepare to embark on this unforgettable journey together!” Nadiadwala had said in a recent social media post.
Rajinikanth will be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming action thriller Coolie.
