'Wednesday', one of the most watched Netflix series ever, has evidently captured the audience’s attention like none other. The Netflix original’s captivating charm, dark characters and thrilling plot have made it appealing to audiences worldwide. Fans who are awaiting more of the quirky Addams family and their adventures can rejoice in the fact that season 2 has officially begun filming. The new setting of Ireland may provide a shift to Nevermore.
At the heart of the show is the enigmatic Wednesday Addams played by Jenna Ortega, characterized by her deadpan delivery and sarcasm. Season 1, revolves around her chase with a bloodthirsty monster, while also being entangled in a love triangle. Along with these family members, Grandmama Addams played by Joanna Lumely, provides intrigue to the story, by delving into her family more. The directors have stated that the relationship between Morticia Addams and her daughter will be expanded on and given more focus.
The world expands with new additions such as Thandiwe Norton, playing a mysterious Dr Fairburn or the famed Steve Buscemi as the principal of Nevermore Academy. Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor add to the star-studded cast. Speculation is at its height, with viewers wondering if they are playing supernatural creatures or new students at Nevermore Academy.
Notably absent from the show is Percy Hynes White who played Xaviers. There were demands to take him out of the show after allegations of sexual assault surfaced.
