Bollywood actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut of the BJP, who made her political debut from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, defeated Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh by 74,755 votes. She polled 5,37,002 votes against 4,62,267 votes secured by Singh.
Several of her Bollywood co-stars, including Anupam Kher and Ankita Lokhande, took to social media to congratulate Kangana Ranaut on her victory.

You have proved time and again that if one is focused and works hard ‘Kuch bhi ho sakta hai’! Jai ho!," Anupam Kher wrote.

Actor Mahima Chaudhary took to Instagram stories to post a picture of Kangana Ranaut, congratulating her on her victory.
Actor and model Poonam Pandey too congratulated the BJP leader for her elctroal feet.
Kangana Ranaut thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her win, saying the victory is the result of his credibility and his guarantee and the faith of people in him. "I am very emotional. My motherland has called me back. Now I am the MP of Mandi," she had been quoted as saying.
