'Kalki 2898 AD' review updates: Movie set for a bumper opening; Sai Pallavi says 'one hell of a cast'

Even as movie enthusiasts across India are eagerly waiting for the release of Prabhas-starer Kalki 2898 AD, South Indian actor Sai Pallavi called the cast and crew of the movie "the most courageous team and one hell of a cast."

In an Instagram story ahead of the release of Kalki 2898 AD, the actor wrote: "To the director who never ceases to amaze, the most courageous team and one hell of a cast!!! Sending heartfelt prayers, love and positivity! Kalki 2898 AD, I'm rooting for you."

Karan Johar too expressed his excitement for the release of Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, saying in an Instagram post: “The grandest spectacle of the big screen awaits...packed with powerful and glorious performances by my favourite artists in the industry. I cannot wait for this to be unleashed to all, catch it in theatres near...far...wherever you are, on 27th June!!!!"

Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, is a futuristic drama set in a dystopian India. Kalki 2898 AD features Amitabh Bachchan as the immortal Ashwatthama and Prabhas as Bhairava, an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. Kamal Haasan plays the antagonist Supreme Yaskin in the movie.

Kalki 2898 AD reviews are expected to come in early Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, Kalki 2898 AD, which is being released in various languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu, has already recorded an impressive opening day collection as an estimated 1.3 million tickets of the movie have been sold. Ticket-booking platform BookMyShow has reportedly been crashed in several states owing to high demand for tickets.
