Ever since Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha and her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal announced their decision to get married, the actor has been facing much online hate over the inter-faith marriage. The online vitriol had even forced Sonakshi Sinha to turn off the comment section of the social media post in which she shared a few pics of the two as newly-wed couple.
While the actor is yet to come out with a comment on the online criticism, on Tuesday, she responded a to a post in which an Instagram artist shared an artwork of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal.
“Truest words!! This is adorable. Thank you," she commented on t he post which had the caption “Love is the universal religion. Wishing @aslisona @iamzahero a happy life," for the picture.
Comments section for the Instagram post in which she made the wedding announcement and and the post in which she shared pictures of the reception were disabled as the couple were subjected to online hate.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married on Sunday after dating for seven years. They first collaborated for the music video of the song 'Blockbuster', which was released in September 2022. Later they co-starred in the comedy drama 'Double XL'.
Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in the Netflix series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar'.
