Reacting to the arrest of his fellow actor Darshan Thoogudeepa in connection with a murder, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar said it hurts when something like this happens.

Shiva Rajkumar, while speaking at the inauguration of new producers association building, claimed that everything is destiny. There is such thing as destiny and there is nothing we can do when it comes to that, the Vedha actor reportedly said.

"One has to think first about whether they’re right before saying something. It hurts when something like this happens," Shiva Rajkumar has been quoted as saying.

He observed that the families of the deceased Renukaswamy and Darshan are pained by the case and that he feels sad looking at Darshan's son.

“We must face everything. An investigation is underway. Let’s wait for the outcome. What must happen will happen,” Shiva Rajkumar.

The actor said he does not wish to say anything more on the issue.

As many as 17 people, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda, are accused in the alleged killing of Renukaswamy.

Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor, had sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda, which enraged Darshan, allegedly leading to his murder. His body was found near a stormwater drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli in Bengaluru on June 9.
