Even as action movie enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the release of Nikhil Nagesh Bhat directorial Kill, produced by Karan Johar among others, media reports reveal that there will be a Hollywood remake of the movie.

Kill, starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala in the lead, was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. The film's brutal graphic action sequences had won high praise from critics.

The production company, 87Eleven Entertainment, headed by the director of John Wick and its subsequent sequels, Chad Stahelski, will produce the Hollywood remake of Kill, according to media reports.

“When we made Kill with Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, we envisioned a story that would resonate globally. Seeing the enthusiasm from North American audiences during festival screenings was a testament to the film’s universal themes and thrilling action. Partnering with 87Eleven Entertainment and Lionsgate to produce an English remake is a significant milestone for Indian cinema,” Deadline quoted a press release from the producers as saying.

Kill is one of the best action films of the year, and action fans need to keep this one on their radar, a review of the movie on CGMagazine had said.

Kill is set to be released in India on July 5.
