Bollywood and television actor Hina Khan, who is undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer, took to social media to share a brief video of herself, chopping her hair short.
In the video, her mother is heard crying as the hair is being cut. The actor is heard consoling her mother, telling her that it's just hair.
"It's hair, don't you cut it," Hina Khan is heard asking her mother in the video.
As her mother continues to weep, the actor tells her (in Hindi), "Stop, you will fall ill."
βI feel liberated,β Hina Khan is heard saying at the end of the short video that she posted on Instagram.
A few days ago, Hina Khan took to Instagram to say that she has been diagnosed with cancer.
"Despite this challenging diagnosis, I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease," the actor said, adding, "My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger."
Later, she posted a video of herself attending an award ceremony after being diagnosed with cancer saying, " I refuse to bow down. This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, infact I attended this event to reassure myself that I am living up to the benchmark, I have set up for myself."
