Bad Newz

Release date: July 19

Anand Tiwari's third directorial 'Bad Newz' is hitting the screens this week. Based on the concept of heteropaternal superfecundation, the plot revolves around Saloni essayed by Tripti Dimri who gets pregnant after having a one-night stand with two different men essayed by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. She then discovers she is carrying twins fathered by both men. The movie is produced by Dharma Productions. The first song of Bad Newz, "Tauba Tauba," has already become a chartbuster and has gained wide appreciation from actors and dancers. 

Twisters

Release date: July 18

A sequel to the 1996 film 'Twister', 'Twisters' is about a scientist Kate Cooper who used to be a storm chaser. She gets back to chasing tornados after a request from her friend who is a social media influencer. But things go south when they try to destroy the tornado. The movie has an ensemble cast featuring Daisy Edgar Jones, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos. The film has received positive reviews globally and awaits its theatrical release this week in India. 

Immaculate

Release date: July 19

Directed by Michael Mohan and penned by Andrew Lobel 'Immaculate' is an American horror film. The movie revolves around a young novice played by Sydney Sweeney who serves at a mysterious Italian convent for elderly nuns. During her stay, she gets impregnated and the elderly nuns treat her like the next Virgin Mary. She discovers the horrifying secrets of the convent and tries to escape from the torture she faces. Money heist star Álvaro Morte plays the role of Father Sal Tedeschi along with other prominent actors.

My Spy: The Eternal City

Release date: July 19

Streaming platform: Amazon Prime Video

'My Spy: The Eternal City' reunites the dynamic duo of JJ, a veteran CIA agent played by Dave Bautista, and his unlikely partner, 14-year-old Sophie, played by Chloe Coleman. JJ and Sophie find themselves on a high-stakes mission to prevent a catastrophic nuclear attack on the Vatican. The movie is a sequel to 2020 'My Spy' and features Kristen Schaal, Flula Borg, Craig Robinson, and Billy Barratt in pivotal roles.

 

Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper

Release date: July 18

Streaming platform: Netflix

Netflix series 'Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper' is directed by Puneet Krishna. Manav Kaul plays the titular character, a chartered accountant who becomes a gigolo to pay off his debts. 'Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper' features Tillotama Shome, Shubhrajyoti Barat, Naina Sareen, and Shweta Basu Prasad, among others. The series is currently facing legal battles from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India which seeks a ban on the series. 

Cobra Kai: Season 6 (Part 1)

Release date: July 18

Streaming platform: Netflix

'Cobra Kai' is gearing up for its showdown. After five seasons of intense rivalries, unexpected alliances and kick-ass karate action, the final season is set to bring a peaceful ending. The series will see Daniel La Russo and Johnny Lawrence once again train a new generation of karate students for the prestigious competition. The first five episodes will premiere on July 18, 2024, followed by the next five on November 28, 2024. The final five episodes will air on March 27, 2025.

 

Nagendran’s Honeymoons

Release date: July 19 

Streaming platform: Disney plus Hotstar

The Malayalam comedy web series directed by Nithin Renji Panicker follows the tale of a lazy man named Nagendran played by Suraj Venjaramoodu. He dreams of going to the Gulf but lacks money for his trip, for that he is advised to get married and use the dowry for his trip. But things go south as Nagendran does not stop at one marriage but many. The series features a stellar cast including Ramesh Pisharody, Shweta Menon, Kani Kusruti, Grace Antony, Niranjana Anoop, and Alexander Prasanth among others.

Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life

Release date: July 19

Streaming platform: Netflix

The much-anticipated box office hit 'Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life' is all set to arrive on streaming platforms. Blessy’s 16-year-old project is based on Benyamin’s 2008 novel of the same name. This intense drama traces the story of Najeeb Muhammad, a young man from Kerala who migrates to the Middle East in search of a better life but ends up stranded in the deserts of Saudi Arabia after being forced into slavery. Prithviraj's portrayal of Najeeb has already won hearts. Amala Paul, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean Louis, and Rik Aby play pivotal roles in the film.
