Two arrested for trying to attend Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding without invitation

A case of trespassing has been registered against the duo

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, married pharmaceutical heiress and childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant in what was a star-studded affair. The wedding on Saturday, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), and the pre-wedding festivities were attended by Bollywood's elite, business magnets, international celebrities, and other VVIPs and VIPs. The wedding festivities were held amid tight security.

However, despite the security arrangements, two men, identified as Narasayya Alluri and Luqman Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, tried to sneak into the venue to attend the wedding festivities on Saturday.

While Narasayya Alluri claimed to be a YouTuber, Sheikh said he was a businessman.

The two have been arrested, and cases have been registered against them.

The police said the duo were initially asked to leave the wedding venue when they were moving around suspiciously. However, they entered the venue again and were apprehended by the security officials and handed over to the police.

A case of trespassing has been registered against the duo.

They were released later.

The wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will continue with a grand reception on Sunday. The newlywed couple were, on Saturday, blessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
