Popular South Indian actor Trisha Krishnan made her OTT debut with the SonyLIV thriller series, Brinda, directed by Surya Manoj Vangala.
Trisha plays an introverted, but extremely efficient cop with a traumatic past in Brinda, which is a taut thriller. The series also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, and Ravindra Vijay among others.
A police procedural that also explores the themes of superstitions/religious beliefs, moral dilemmas, and the stifling bureaucratic system in our country, Brinda has received much appreciation for the performances and screenplay.
Now, speaking about her role in the series, the actor said her character is in a certain way because of the pain and trauma she carries from her past.
"So we tried to convey that through her eyes and many moments throughout the series. She’s human, just like any one of us. A human being goes through a myriad of emotions in their journey of life," Bollywood Hangama quoted the actor as saying.
Trisha said it was fun playing Brinda in the eight-episode series as although the character is introverted and stoic most of the time, there are circumstances where the little girl in her comes out, and she has moments of anguish and outbursts.
The actor said she approaches her characters with a certain level of pragmatism and that is what is happening in today's time and age.
