Actress Minu Muneer who alleged on Monday that she faced sexual harassment from multiple actors has filed a complaint against seven people on Tuesday. These include Jayasurya, Mukesh, Edavela Babu and Maniyanpilla Raju.

With MeToo allegations rattling the Malayalam film industry following the release of the Hema Committee Report, more women have stepped forward to speak up about the sexual assaults and harassments they faced. This had prompted the Kerala government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Sunday. Minu filed the complaint via email after speaking to SP G. Poonkuzhali, reported Onmanorama.

Meanwhile, actress Gayathri Varsh backed Minu's allegations against Maniyan Pilla Raju, saying the accuser had confided in her about how the male actor knocked on her door during the shooting of Da Thadiya.

The seven member SIT team is headed by Crime Branch ADGP H. Venkatesh. Earlier, Revathy Sampath said she did not have plan to file a complaint against Siddique who she accused of sexually assaulting her and locking her in a hotel room in 2016. However, she later said she will review her decision if the government ensures justice for her. Siddique has quit the post of Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) general secretary following the allegations.

Director Ranjith earlier stepped down as the state film academy chairman after Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra alleged that he touched her without her consent. Another filmmaker Thulasidas was accused of sexual harassment by actresses Geetha Vijayan and Sridevika. It is not confirmed if they will lodge a formal complaint.

A junior artist who accused AMMA acting general secretary and actor Baburaj of sexual assault is expected to register a police complaint, according to Onmanorama.
