A young man, who accused popular Malayalam director Ranjith of sexual misconduct, has come out with more details of the harassment, dragging the name of noted actor and director Revathi into the allegations.
The young man, hailing from Kozhikode district in Kerala, claimed that in 2012, while in Bengaluru, Ranjith sexually harassed him, forced him to undress, and then took photos of him, which were allegedly sent to Revathi.
He said when he entered the director's hotel room, Ranjith was talking to an actress and when he asked who the photos were being sent to, Ranjith said he was sending them to Revathi. Ranjith further told the young man that Revathi liked him.
In his complaint to the DGP, the young man said Ranjith, under the influence of alcohol, harassed him.
“When Ranjith told me to stand naked, he was talking to an actress. I have already revealed the name of that actress—Revathi. Ranjith told me it was Revathi. I don't know if there is any relationship between Ranjith and Revathi, but Ranjith took my photos and sent them to her,” the young man said.
“When I asked who the photos were being sent to, Ranjith said they were sent to Revathi, adding that she liked what she saw. This incident happened during the location pack-up of the movie 'Bavuttiyude Namathil.' The director was present there in connection with the audio launch of the movie or some other related event," the young man stated.
