South Indian actress Kasthuri Shankar slammed Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi for dodging questions from media, demanding them to respond to the issues in Mollywood instead of getting furious.
The actress, who has appeared in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films, also said Mukesh should resign as MLA amid sexual harassment cases filed against him.

"Why Mohanlal doesn't have answers? He has worked in so many movies. Why can't he say that such issues have never happened in his films?" asked Kasthuri. Pointing out that the executive committee members abandoned AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists), she urged Mohanlal to stand by his co-stars.
Slamming actor Suresh Gopi, who is BJP's first Lok Sabha MP from Kerala, she said he has the responsibility to address the issues in Mollywood as a minister in the Modi government. "When men avoid such issues, it feels like they are guilty. If they are not guilty, then they should face the press and answer the questions," she said.
This comes after Gopi reacted furiously and pushed mediapersons when he was asked questions regarding the release of the Hema Committee Report. The report had earlier revealed alleged abuse of women in the Malayalam film industry.
Kasthuri said the Hema Committee Reports might be late, but it is a step in the right direction. However, she said she is not entirely satisfied with the revelations in the report.
Kasthuri also alleged that she had bad experiences in Mollywood, when she was filming for her previous Malayalam movie when the production controller often spoke to her angrily.
