Veteran Malayalam actress Sarada who is a member of the Hema Committee said the current allegations emerging after release of the report are a 'show', she told a vernacular news channel.

"Right now, everyone should think of Wayanad," Sarada told Manorama News. When the reporter asked about the importance of Hema Committee Report, she said, "Hema madam is a good person. If you ask her, she will provide the necessary information."

However, she pointed out that today's educated generation has the courage to speak out unlike people of her time who kept mum due to pride and fear.

Another veteran actress, Sheela, also responded to the Hema Committee Report, urging everyone to come forward with courage. Though she herself never experienced such harassment, she said she has heard women talking about bad experiences on set.

She also wondered why only names of a few actors are being mentioned when so many are involved. Sheela welcomed the Kerala government's move to set up the Hema Committee and said she was proud of the steps taken by the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC).
