Bollywood actor Parvin Dabas met with a road accident this morning and is currently in the ICU at Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai.
“We regret to inform that Parvin Dabas, co-founder of the Pro Panja League, has been hospitalised and is in the ICU at Holy family hospital Bandra following an unfortunate car accident in the early hours of Saturday morning,” a statement from Pro Panja League, of which the actor is a co-founder, said.
“Details of the incident are still emerging, but we can confirm that Mr Dabas is currently receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with Parvin and his family during this challenging time.”
They also requested the public to respect the privacy of Dabas and his family.
Dabas has starred predominantly in Hindi and English language films such as Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, Khosla Ka Ghosla, The Perfect Husband and The World Unseen.
Preeti Jhangiani, Dabas's wife, known for her debut film Mohabbatein, is with him in the hospital.
The 50-year-old actor's latest film, Sharmajee Ki Beti, released earlier this year in June. He also starred in Made in Heaven season 2.
