IIFA Utsavam 2024: Mani Ratnam, Vikram, Aishwarya win big with ‘Ponniyin Selvan: II’ | Full list of winners

Ponniyin Selvan: II emerged as the clear winner in Tamil cinema category at the 24th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), winning the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Music Direction and Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male) awards.

The IIFA Utsavam, which started yesterday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, rewards artistic and technical achievements of the south Indian film industry.

Ponniyin Selvan: II, however, missed out on the Best Picture award, losing out to the Rajinikanth-starrer, Jailer, directed by Nelson.

Actors Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja hosted the Telugu section, actors Satish and Divya Menon, Tamil, and Pearle Maaney and Sudev Nair the Malayalam segment.

Day 2 of the event, to be held today, will be hosted by Bollywood megastars Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar.

The awards event will conclude on September 29.
