The highly anticipated H. Vinoth directorial, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, has been steadily unveiling its star-studded cast, much to the excitement of fans.
Bangalore-based K. V. N. Productions, led by Venkat K. Narayana, which is producing Thalapathy 69, has been revealing on their social media platforms who will star alongside Vijay in his final act.
The most recent announcement has revealed the addition of popular South Indian actor Priyamani, and actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon who is currently directing a Malayalam film, Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse, with Mammootty in the lead.
Priyamani shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “Happy and thrilled to be on board.”
The announcements of the cast started earlier this week with Bobby Deol, who is said to play the antagonist of the film.
Deol, who is expanding his acting horizon to the south of India, expressed his enthusiasm on an Instagram story, with the message, “Super excited to be a part of the project.”
Shortly after, Pooja Hegde was revealed to join the cast. Hegde and Vijay are set to reunite on the big screen after the 2022 action-thriller Beast.

"Yaaaaasss! Hoping to create magic once again with the one and only Thalapathy @actorvijay," Hegde wrote, sharing her excitement in an Instagram story.
Up and coming Malayalam actor Mamitha Baiju was also announced as an addition to the cast. The Premalu and Super Sharanya actor is all set for her next Tamil film, after her Kollywood debut with Rebel.
“Excited and feeling blessed to be a part of this amazing team!!!” she captioned an Instagram post featuring her announcement poster.
Thalapathy 69 is a milestone event in Vijay’s life as it is said to be his final performance on the big screen before venturing into politics.
The filming is said to commence in the second week of October. The movie is expected to be an October 2025 release.
