Isha Ambani, director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, and daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, was honoured with the prestigious ‘Icon of the Year’ award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024, held in Mumbai on Saturday.
Isha received recognition for her leadership and entrepreneurial mindset, particularly for her role in the expansion of the company.
The fashion icon dazzled the stage wearing a full ensemble of Schiaparelli, an Italian houte couture brand, known for their surrealist fashion designs and eye-catching gold accessories.
She sported a black-and-white look, which Schiaparelli described as a fitted gilet, made from a cady ivory, with golden chain-linked straps, and oversized golden plated S emblem buttons down the front; paired with a long flowing skirt in black with asymmetric cut-outs and decorative copper piercings. According to their website, Isha's outfit cost €10,000, which rounds up to a whopping Rs 9,11,700.
In her acceptance speech, Isha dedicated the award to her mother, Nita Ambani, and her daughter Aadiya. “I'd like to dedicate this award to my daughter Aadiya who inspires me every day to do more and to do better, and to my mother who has been my role model and who has paved the way for me. I always tell her thank you for walking, so I could run, so really this is because of her. This is a dedication to my mother.”
