During the music launch of Kangua, actor Suriya was all praise for actor-turned-politician Vijay and Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Talking about Udhayanidhi Stalin, Suriya said, "I have thought about a lot during my time at Loyola College. I used to think that students can do whatever they want there. My junior in college. He has produced two films with me. He is Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidhi Stalin. He is always accessible to anyone. My best wishes for him."

Suriya also congratulated 'GOAT' actor Vijay's entry into politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). But he did not mention Vijay by name. "I have another friend from college who is paving a new path and embarking on a new journey... Let his new journey be auspicious."

Like Suriya, both Vijay and Udhayadhi studied in Loyola College, Chennai.

Meanwhile, during the event, actor-director Bose Venkatesh actors should guide their fans on how to do good for the public and keep them educated before entering politics.

Pointing out that apart from Kamal Haasan, it is rare to find an actor with such capability in Tamil cinema. He added that Suriya has delivered so many satisfying films and insisted the actor should join politics eventually. However, many believe that Venkatesh was taking a jab at Vijay over his political entry with his remarks.

Kanguva has an ensemble cast that include Disha Patani. Bobby Deol, Natty, Yogi Babu, Jagapathi Babu and KS Ravikumar.
