'Joker: Folie à Deux' is making its way to the small screen after a short and unsuccessful theatrical run; 'Amaran', the story of Ashoka Chakra recipient Major Mukund Varadarajan will hit theatres this week

Telugu film Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan, will make its way to the big screens this week for a Diwali release. The third instalment of the Singham series, Singham Again, will see the return of unstoppable cop, Bajirao Singham, after nearly a decade.

Joker: Folie à Deux

The musical psychological thriller, directed by Todd Phillips, sees the return of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, while marking Lady Gaga’s first appearance as Harley Quinn. Post the events of Joker (2019), Arthur finds himself in Arkham Asylum, where he develops a twisted relationship with Quinn. The movie incorporates musical numbers which adds an underlying layer in exploring Joker's world. The film also stars Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener and Zazie Beetz.


Wizards Beyond Waverly Place

In a world where “everything is not what it seems”, Billie, a young wizard-in-training, is desperately in need of a mentor. Alex Russo recommends that she learns from the best wizard she knows, her brother Justin.

Justin, who has resorted to a normal life with his family, is now dragged back to his magical roots to help Billie use her powers. The series, a spin-off and sequel to Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, stars David Henrie, Janice LeAnn Brown, Mimi Gianopulos and Selena Gomez.

Thangalaan

Inspired by true events, the movie revolves around a group of tribal gold miners in Karnataka's Kolar district and how they face the wrath of a sorceress while assisting a British general in tracing gold. Mithya The Darker Chapter

The rivalry between two estranged half-sisters, Juhi and Rhea, continue in the second season of the web series. Juhi, now an acclaimed author, is hit with plagarism charges by a man named Amit. She suspects that Rhea is behind it. Juhi had accused Rhea of plagarism in the earlier season. Meanwhile, Rhea continues to seek validation from her father. Amaran

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is based on the real life story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment, who was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra for his bravery during the counterterrorism operation in 2014 in Jammu and Kashmir. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose and Suresh Chakravarthi.

Lucky Baskhar

Baskhar is a broke cashier, working at a bank, but wanting a better livelihood for him and his family. He gets involved in a risky investment scheme. He soon gets drawn into the dirty world of money laundering and is consumed by the power of money. Directed by Venky Atluri, this film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Surya Srinivas, Kishore Raju Vasistha and Ramki.

Singham Again

Ajay Devgn returns as the unstoppable cop Bajirao Singham and, this time, he teams up with his closest confidants to find his wife, Avni, who is kidnapped by an enemy. This third instalment of the Singham series, directed by Rohit Shetty, features a star studded cast - Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

In the third instalment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series, Ruhan ventures into a haunted mansion in the kingdom of Raktaghat in West Bengal. Posing as an exorcist, he confronts two vengeful spirits, both claiming to be the haunting Manjulika. Bagheera
