Two months after the shooting incident at Punjabi rapper and singer A P Dhillon's residence in Canada's Vancouver, a 25-year-old man was arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The shooting occurred on September 2 at Victoria Island in Vancouver.
A statement by the RCMP said Abjeet Kingra of Winnipeg has been arrested from Ontario and charged with 'Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Arson'. Kingra will be produced before an Ontario court on Friday.
The RCMP added that another accused, identified as Vikram Sharma, had fled the country to India. The law enforcement authorities do not have a photograph of Sharma, though his specifics have been listed as a "23-year-old South Asian male who is 5 feet and 9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes." The statement added that Sharma is wanted on an Unendorsed warrant for "Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Arson", the police said.
Though Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the incident, the RCMP statement made no mention of the group. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is being probed for the murders of singer Sidhu Moose Wala and NCP leader Baba Siddique.

Meanwhile, the video of the firing at AP Dhillon's house went viral on social media. The footage shows several rounds being fired at the Punjabi singer's house. It also shows two vehicles set on fire during the September 2 incident in Vancouver.
Reports said that gunshots were fired outside the singer's house after he featured actor Salman Khan in a music video. According to the gangsters, Dhillon has a close connection with Khan. The gangsters had warned the singer to stay within his limits or else would "meet a dog's death". Salman Khan along with actor Sanjay Dutt appeared in Dhillon's new track 'Old Money'.
