Coldplay announces fourth show in India

The band had initially announced shows in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025, but the tickets were sold out in minutes

British boy band Coldplay has announced a fourth show in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. The concert is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25, 2025.

The tickets will be available on BookMyShow on November 16, 2024 at 12pm IST.

The band had initially announced shows in Mumbai on January 18 and 19, 2025. Tickets for the show had gone live on September 22, and were sold out in minutes. A third show was added and tickets went live on the same day, which too were sold out quickly.

Several fans were disappointed on not getting the tickets but were enraged when third-party sellers, like Viagogo, started selling tickets at exorbitant rates. Tickets that were originally priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 35,000 were being listed for Rs 30,000 to over Rs 7 lakh.

The Enforcement Directorate had launched an investigation into the alleged illegal sale of tickets. The Mumbai police also summoned the BookMyShow CEO Ashish Hemrajani for questioning.

In October, the ticketing platform filed an FIR over black marketing of Coldplay concert tickets.
